Privacy Policy

Welcome to the website of Linkool International ("Linkool", "we", or "us"). We respect and are serious about protecting the privacy of our users. This Policy applies to all of our products (including but not limited to browser plug-ins and browser add-ons), services, websites, or otherwise any machine readable code or software in connection with the products, services, or websites (collectively, "Service"), but does not apply to companies (and their related products, services, websites, and content) that Linkool does not own or have control over. This Policy does not apply to people that Linkool does not employ or manage.

Information Collection Practices

We may collect personally identifiable information from a user in a variety of ways, including through online forms, instances where the user voluntarily provides such information, or through the user's transaction or interaction with the Service. For example, a user's transaction or interaction with the Service includes mouse clicks and movements, keyboard entries, form entries or search box entries in respect of the user's interaction with Linkool's browser add-on (e.g. Juice), server logs, cookies, or other tracking devices placed in the user's browser. A cookie is a piece of information that a web server stores on a user's personal computer to identify the user. We may record a user's IP address, software and hardware attributes, and any content the user requests under said server logs or any related databases or back-up storage. While not all of the information that we collect from a user is personally identifiable, it may be associated with personally identifiable information that the user provides us through the Service (e.g. through our website or our browser add-on).

Third-Party Service Integration

A user may choose to enable various online services ("Third-Party Services"), e.g. Facebook, to be directly integrated into the Service. By directly integrating Third-Party Services into the Service, we attempt to make the user's online experience more convenient, richer, and more personalized. To take advantage of these capabilities, we ask the user to register for or log into the Third-Party Services, for example, through API authentication provided by the Third-Party Services. The Third-Party Services will be integrated into the Service only when the user consents to such integration, such as by logging into the Third-Party Services and clicking a button explicitly marked for enabling such integration. The Third-Party Services will then collect information, and inform the user about what information they collect, in accordance with their own terms of service. By consenting to the aforesaid integration, the user is allowing us to pass aforesaid information back to the Third-Party Services. If, as an example, the user consents to the integration of Facebook into the Service, Linkool's browser plug-in may collect the user's desired Facebook status message and passes the status message to Facebook, and may collect a link to be shared by the user and passes the link to Facebook. Said status message or link may then be visible on the user's Facebook profile. Linkool does not pass this information to, and does not store any password in respect of the Third-Party Services on, our servers. Linkool shall have no liability or responsibility for the privacy practices or other actions of any third party site or service that may be enabled through the user's consent to the integration of the Third-Party Services into the Service.

E-mail Address Collection Practices

A user may voluntarily submit to us an e-mail address, e.g., when the user requests to obtain a special unlock code to enable the Service. This e-mail address will be used to contact the user when the special unlock code for the user becomes available. This e-mail address will also be used to contact the user regarding updates to and new feature releases in respect of the Service. If the user decides not to receive any future e-mails from us regarding the Service, the user shall have the option to unsubscribe through an unsubscribe link in the e-mail sent to the user.

We will not share a user's e-mail address (or any user-related information) with any third-party without the user's express permission, subject to our disclosure policy under the "Disclosure" section below.

Information Removal

A user is entitled to delete personal information, if any, at any time from a publicly-accessible server. However, we reserve the right to archive any record, including personal information in a back-up storage normally detached from any publicly-accessible server.

Information Usage

We may use information collected (see above, "Information Collection Practices" section) for research regarding the effectiveness of the Service, for marketing, advertising and sales efforts by us and our trusted affiliates, and in conjunction with the display of targeted advertisements while a user interacts with the Service.

Disclosure

We will not disclose information about a user (including but not limited to: geo-data, information implied through user settings, the user's transaction or interaction with the Service, profile information voluntarily submitted by the user, and any other information listed under the "Information Collection Practices" section above) without express permission, unless:

  1. the release of said information is required by a trusted affiliate to facilitate an action requested by the user; or
  2. the release of said information is required by government subpoena or court order to comply with a legal process; or
  3. we believe that it is necessary to share said information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violations of Linkool's Terms of Service Agreement, or as otherwise required by law; or
  4. we transfer said information to a third party if we are acquired by or merged with such third party in a change-of-control event. In such change-of-control event, we will notify the user before said information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

We may, from time to time, display targeted advertisements based on said information. We do not share said information with any advertiser. However, when a user is exposed to a targeted advertisement while interacting with the Service, an advertiser may make assumptions that the user meets the targeting criteria used to display the targeted advertisement.

Change Notice

Please note that this Policy may change from time to time. We will not reduce a user's rights under this Policy without the user's express consent. Should we make substantial changes to this Policy, we will notify the user through our Service, through our blog or through electronic mail.

Please contact us at if you have questions regarding this Policy.
